Hi, my name is Megan. Welcome to our journey!

I am a former homebody who discovered a love for the outdoors shortly before becoming pregnant with my son. Over the last 6 years we have explored the woods, mountains, rivers and lakes with our two kids. We have learned A LOT about ourselves, the way we parent, and our kids. We have had some major mishaps (like this one) and some great adventures (like this one or this one). I want to share what we have learned along the way and what we are still figuring out!

As we stumbled our way into becoming the “outdoorsy” family we wanted to be, I discovered how much I enjoy being a mom. That sounds outrageously cheesy but it is true! My wild, crazy, often dirty children have brought a true purpose to my life. Not only do I love exploring the outdoors with them but I love being the one to teach them about the world. So this is our journey. Our journey into the woods and mountains with our two children. Our journey into homeschooling those same two children. We are at the very beginning and I can’t wait to see how this story unfolds. I hope you will join us for this adventure!
